William Shakespeare's
Much Ado About Nothing
(Click the photo to see more...)

Much Ado About Nothing has everything you could want in a love story…..
Love at first sight, thwarted love, sparring lovers, foolish lovers, passionate embraces, impassioned
declarations of love…and hate, treachery, mistaken identities, reconciliation…
forgiveness--and, Two and a Half Weddings and a Funeral!

As the play begins, Duke Pedro swears he has forgiven his illegitimate brother for trying to usurp his
inheritance. Don John, the ill contented brother, swears his allegiance to Pedro. Claudio, a young
follower of Don Pedro, swears he loves Hero, an innocent young lady. Beatrice, Hero’s older and more
cynical cousin swears she hates Benedick.  Benedick, a dyed-in-the-wool bachelor, swears he hates
marriage.   With all this swearing going on, you can bet, someone isn’t telling the truth.  The masks
begin to slip as Don John dupes his brother and Claudio into disgracing a blameless Hero at the altar
on the day of her wedding.  Then, Beatrice and Benedick confess their love for each other and plan to
avenge Hero’s honor.  Only the members of the local town watch can save the day--and they are none
too bright.  Luckily, the Mediterranean sun is. All ends happily, as the witty and witless lovers marry and
dance off into the sunset. Love shines brighter than the brilliant Mediterranean sun in this most
romantic of all William Shakespeare’s plays.
